The material selection of the micro diaphragm pump head is a comprehensive consideration process based on a variety of factors, including the chemical properties of the medium, temperature, pressure, flow rate and the use of the pump environment. The following are some common micro diaphragm pump head materials and their characteristics:

1. PA66 (Nylon 66)
Material properties: PA66, polyadipate, is a translucent or opaque opalescent crystalline polymer with plasticity. It has superior overall properties, including mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance, as well as good electrical insulation and chemical resistance.
Advantages:
Excellent mechanical properties, with high mechanical strength and good toughness.
Good self-lubrication and small coefficient of friction, so long service life.
Excellent heat resistance, glass fiber reinforced can be used at 150℃ for a long time, thermal deformation temperature can reach 250℃ or more.
It is resistant to acid, alkali and most inorganic salt solutions, but attention should be paid to its compatibility with polar solvents such as phenol and formic acid.
Application scenario: Suitable for light acids, light alkalis and neutral liquids, such as gasoline, lubricating oil, ethanol, methanol, acetic acid, acetone, and some aqueous solutions, such as ammonia, nitric acid, sodium hydroxide, etc.
2. PP (Polypropylene)
Material characteristics: PP is a non-toxic, odorless, tasteless milky white high crystalline polymer, is the lightest of commonly used resins.
Advantages:
Stable physical properties, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic.
Excellent mechanical properties, including tensile strength, compressive strength and hardness.
It has good heat resistance, can be disinfected and sterilized at temperatures above 100 ° C, and does not deform at 150 ° C (without external force).
Good chemical stability, in addition to strong oxidants, and most chemicals do not react, water resistance is particularly good.
Good resistance to high frequency electrical insulation, also performs well in humid environments.
Application scenario: Applicable to acidic liquids (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and hydrofluoric acid), weakly alkaline liquids (such as ammonia and ethanolamine), some organic solvents (such as acetone and formaldehyde), drinking water, and pure water.
3. Other materials
In addition to PA66 and PP, micro diaphragm pump heads may also be made of other materials, such as:

Stainless steel: corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, suitable for a variety of media, but the price is higher. Stainless steel materials are 304, 316 and 316L.
Aluminum alloy: The material is lighter, the performance is similar to cast iron, the price is cheaper, can resist corrosion, suitable for some specific applications.
Cast iron: wear resistance, low price, can resist slight corrosion, often used in sewage, sludge, rainwater and wastewater treatment.
Fluorine plastics: such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), has excellent corrosion resistance, especially suitable for extreme environments such as strong acids and alkali.
Selection suggestion
When selecting the pump head material of the micro diaphragm pump, the following factors should be considered:

Chemical properties of the medium: understand the acidity and alkalinity of the medium and whether it contains corrosive components.
Temperature: Determine the temperature range of the medium to ensure that the selected material can work stably within the temperature range.
Pressure and flow: According to the actual demand to choose the appropriate pump head material to withstand the corresponding pressure and flow.
Use environment: Consider the use of the pump environment, such as whether there is corrosive gas, whether it needs to be explosion-proof.
