Mitigating factors that prematurely age mechanical seals includes mitigating the constant fluctuations in fluid hydraulic load, minimizing contaminants, preventing shaft deflection, and reducing frequent disassembly and repairs.

For pumps handling solid particles, ensure to flush the system with water prior to shutdown to prevent particles from infiltrating the seals and causing damage.

Selecting the Optimal Flow and Head for Centrifugal Pumps:

Choosing the appropriate flow rate and head ensures optimal pump performance. Operating a centrifugal pump at a low flow rate generates circulatory eddies and radial forces, causing imbalance, increased bearing load, and potential damage to impellers, seals, and bearings.

Preventing Dry Rotation:

Before starting a centrifugal micro-electric pump, ensure all air is evacuated from the piping to prevent dry rotation and subsequent damage.

Addressing Blockages:

If a centrifugal mini-electric pump exhibits reduced flow or fails to start smoothly, promptly inspect for pipeline blockages and clear them.

Regular Cleaning and Maintenance:

Extended use may lead to sediment accumulation within the pump, necessitating regular cleaning and maintenance to safeguard performance and longevity. Routinely check pump pressure, pipeline pressure, and current to ensure they remain within normal ranges.

Monitor the temperature of the pump bearings, ensuring they do not exceed 80°C for rolling bearings and 70°C for sliding bearings. Additionally, verify the lubricating oil level, ensuring it falls between 1/2 and 3/4 of the oil cup's capacity, and inspect the oil ring's condition.

Proper Storage and Protection:

Before shutting down a centrifugal pump, release internal pressure, promptly dismantle, clean, and dry the pump before returning it to its original location. Avoid storing pumps in environments with corrosive media, and take precautions to prevent high outlet flows from causing spraying in micro-electric pumps.
